When you buy a pack of succulent meat bearing the Longwood Farm label it is a sure sign that the product is organically pure. All our stock is traditionally reared on 500 acres of Suffolk countryside which provides an environment totally free from chemicals, fertilizers, insecticides or pesticides of any kind.

We farm following the strict code of practice and guidelines set down by THE SOIL ASSOCIATION which enforces its high standards by a programme of unannounced spot checks, plus an annual inspection to ensure absolute compliance over land management and livestock husbandry. This policy guarantees the produce you buy is of Registered Organic Quality - unlike meat which is fed on conventional grazing, hay and feeds, which could contain harmful residues from chemical sprays, in feed and routine medications.

A sound nutritional base is backed up by experienced husbandry in order to provide quality cuts of Beef, Lamb, Pork and Poultry, as well as Bacon and Sausages.

Our animals are bred and reared as nature intended from breeds which are regarded as rare or old-fashioned, but which we believe provide a bonus in both quality and flavour. The cattle and sheep browse and graze amongst wild flowers and grasses on the meadows throughout the year. In the winter their diet is supplemented with organically grown hay and cereals from as far afield as Wales. Our pigs and poultry forage freely through the woodlands and pasture, living on a muesli-type diet of mixed organic cereals.

It is important to remember that: "what they ate, you eventually eat"!
